Dr. Sheila Alizadeh is Co-Founder of Blue Door Pharmacies LLC, and a nationally recognized pharmacist known for her innovative, patient-centered approach to pharmaceutical care. A graduate of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, Dr. Alizadeh brings more than 25 years of experience spanning biotech startups, retail compounding, R&D support, and women’s health and wellness innovation.
She began her career as a Medical Science Liaison with Novartis, where she developed deep experience in emerging therapies, medical research, and clinical implementation. She later joined Amylin Pharmaceuticals, an early pioneer in GLP-1 receptor agonist development, where she was responsible for thought-leader development. Together, these roles placed her at the intersection of scientific advancement, physician engagement, and translational strategy, shaping the forward-looking clinical and commercial perspective she brings to her work today.
Blue Door Pharmacies is a diversified pharmacy and pharmaceutical enterprise with two core operating divisions. Shady Grove Pharmacy is the brick-and-mortar, patient-facing retail compounding pharmacy. Blue Door Pharma is the distribution and research-support division, specializing in sourcing and supplying pharmaceutical products for biotechnology companies, clinical researchers, and medical programs operating at the leading edge of science.
Under Dr. Alizadeh’s leadership, Blue Door Pharmacies has become a trusted destination for specialty prescription fulfillment and advanced compounding services, with physician specialists across the country referring patients to benefit from her expertise. Her innovative formulations include pediatric atropine eye drops and a proprietary mono-dispersed NAD+ injectable. She has also developed several prescription-only skincare products, including “Beauty Butter” for women and a copper peptide skin-tightening cream, designed to support both medical and cosmetic goals.
Over the last several years, Dr. Alizadeh’s focus on women’s health, whole-person wellness, and longevity has further expanded her product development work. This has led to the creation of both prescription and over-the-counter formulations, including additional mono-dispersed NAD+ applications such as a skin cream and vaginal suppository, each designed to address real-world patient needs through a personalized, clinically informed compounding approach.

In this role, she contributes deep pharmacotherapy and compounding expertise to support clinical strategy, optimize patient care, and advance innovative treatment solutions in women’s health.
In late 2024 and throughout 2025, in response to increasing demand for proprietary products compounded under her supervision at Blue Door Pharmacies’ Maryland headquarters, Dr. Alizadeh further expanded the company’s national reach. She is now personally licensed in 17 states, the retail pharmacy has secured permits in 44 states along with significant logistics and shipping infrastructure, all to broaden access to Blue Door Pharmacies’ services and compounded solutions for patients and customers nationwide.
Dr. Alizadeh’s humble, approachable leadership style, deep knowledge of pharmacotherapy and disease-state management, and unwavering commitment to customer-centered care have made her one of the most sought-after pharmacists in Maryland and beyond.
